2017 Graduation Ceremonies

We are making final preparations for tomorrow’s graduation ceremony and are very excited to celebrate this significant milestone in the lives of our students and their families. 

Superintendent's Update - May 2017

This week signifies another important milestone in the lives of our students. This is not only the end of the 2016-2017 school year – one of the most outstanding in district history – but this week, approximately 5,500 preschool, fifth and eighth-grade students will celebrate their continuation to a new chapter of their educational journey with St. Vrain Valley Schools, and perhaps even more momentous, over 2,000 St. Vrain Valley graduates will receive their high school diploma.

St. Vrain Valley Students Excel at VEX World Robotics Tournament

In April, St. Vrain Valley Schools sent ten teams to the VEX IQ World Robotics Tournament in Louisville, Kentucky to compete against 580 teams from across the globe.

St. Vrain Valley Schools Launches New Initiative to Close the Word Gap

As St. Vrain Valley Schools continues to advance our programs that support our youngest learners, we are proud to announce a new partnership with the LENA Research Foundation and the OUR Center in Longmont that will prepare infants and toddlers (0-3 years) for school by encouraging parents to talk and engage more with their children.

Erie Elementary's Charlie Garcia Recognized as the 2017 Teacher of the Year

The Education Foundation for the St. Vrain Valley celebrated the 10th Annual Tribute to Teachers event on May 5, 2017 to recognize this year’s top St. Vrain Valley School District Teachers. Over 500 people were in attendance to recognize the 155 Encore Award nominees. Nominations are submitted by members of the St. Vrain Valley community including students, parents and colleagues.

As the countdown to summer winds down, students and teachers across the district are gearing up for camp season and it’s not too late to sign up.

2017 Eleanor Venture Travel Grant Announced

The Education Foundation for the St. Vrain Valley (EFSVV) is pleased to announce that the 2017 Eleanor Venture Travel Grant recipient is Janet Benter. Every year, this grant is awarded to one or two teachers in honor of Eleanor Flanders, the Founder of EFSVV, with the hopes that the significant travel experience will be brought back to St. Vrain Valley Schools. Janet is a 7th and 8th grade Science and Health teacher at Mead Middle School.

Students Shine at this Year's Geography Bee

Districtwide, middle students participate in Geography Clubs that meet and practice throughout the school year to prepare and compete in the annual Middle School Geography Bee. This year’s culminating event was hosted by Altona Middle School on Monday night.
