Energy Conservation Procedures:

This document defines procedures to be used for energy management, also known as the Energy and Sustainability Program, at St. Vrain Valley School District. This procedure is applicable to all District employees, students, and third-party organizations who are occupants or users of District facilities. The requirements of Board Policy ECF govern. This document provides processing procedures not specified in Board Policy ECF. The goal of the District’s Energy Conservation Policy is to maximize our energy savings potential, improve building comfort and performance, and reduce unnecessary utility expenditures while supporting the District’s educational mission.

Computer Power Management Initiative:

District Technology Services uses automatic shutdown settings on desktop computers in the district to minimize our energy use. Automatic shutdown not only saves the power a computer is consuming, but also the energy needed to cool heat emitted from running computers.
