Financial Services
Financial Services continuously strives to improve the quality of financial services to all internal and external customers through timely communication, accurate financial data and effective use of resources. Our focus is to maximize the efficient use of District assets towards improving student achievement and well-being.
Financial Services is responsible for the following financial operations:
- Develop, implement, and control the District’s annual budget
- Account for the receipt and disbursement of all District funds
- Maintain complete and accurate records of all financial transactions
- Manage the District’s daily cash flow and investment portfolio
- Prepare accounts payable and payroll checks
- Train and support District staff to assure compliance with all financial policies and procedures
- Prepare annual 1099 and W-2 forms
- Account for all grants revenues and expenditures
- Track and document fixed assets
- Administer purchasing card program
- Maintain contracts with tax-sheltered retirement plan providers and monitor to assure compliance
- Provide internal controls and safeguards of all District assets
- Maintain contracts with each of the District charter schools and providing support to ensure compliance with State and District requirements
- Provide training and support to District parent/teacher organizations
- Prepare the District’s Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR)
- District elections official
