St. Vrain Valley Schools is looking for a creative videographer and multimedia producer to join our award-winning Communications Department.

This position will play an important role in filming and producing high-quality visual stories that engages and inspires different key stakeholders and audience channels. The ideal candidate will have experience in documentary-style cinematography, marketing video production, voice-over audio production, motion graphics, storyboard planning, and other video production responsibilities.

Job functions:
- Works on daily and long-term video assignments, sometimes as part of a team and often as a solo videographer/producer.
- Shoots and edits a wide range of video projects, including news, event, training, marketing and social media-focused productions.
- Manage and monitor department, unit, program, processes, projects related to multimedia production. This includes collaborating across the communications team and supporting others through mentoring and training in video production best practices.
- Develops storyboards and scripts for a variety of internally and externally focused video projects, including news, documentary, promotional and educational productions.
- Works with Board of Education support staff to ensure seamless live stream and web publication of Board of Education meetings and study session audio. Will be expected to attend Board of Education meetings, typically twice a month on Wednesday evenings.
- Provides counsel and production services for district departments and schools in support of their communication needs and strategic goals.
- Provides still photography services and serves as main scheduler and liaison for external photography and videography vendors.
- Is responsible for the archiving and asset management of digital photography and video assets.
Required job qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years related experience in multimedia or film production.
- Expert-level proficiency with digital cinema and DSLR cameras, as demonstrated in a portfolio or professional works samples.
- Expert-level proficiency with Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro or similar video editing software, as demonstrated in a portfolio or professional works samples.
- Expert-level proficiency using photography editing and management software, including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Lightroom and Photo Mechanic.
- Demonstrated understanding of video formats and compression, including experience using Media Encoder, Compressor or similar software.
Preferred job qualifications:
- Strong writing and copywriting skills
- Experience in public education, higher education or another public sector
- Bilingual in second language
- Experience as a one-person-band video producer or multimedia journalist, with journalistic instincts and strong interviewing skills
- Experience with event livestreaming and RTMP live video streaming
The salary schedule for this position is $73,345 – $101,286. The hiring salary is generally near the bottom to mid of the range and is commensurate with education and experience.
