Superintendent's Update - March 2017

Dear St. Vrain Valley Community,

I want to thank you for your continued support as we strive for excellence in serving our students, parents, teachers, staff and community. Every week I have the wonderful opportunity to visit our schools and I continue to be inspired by the engagement, citizenship, grit and compassion that drives our community.

I attribute much of this success to the strong relationships our students are building within their neighborhoods, schools and classrooms. As public educators, we know that students who feel connected to their community and have a vision for their future achieve the greatest successes in education and beyond. Toward this end, we place significant emphasis on student engagement and strong relationships among students, teachers, staff and families to ensure that our environments foster the highest levels of student achievement and success. Whether it is through one of our rigorous instructional focus programs or extended learning through the arts, music, athletics and other co-curricular activities, St. Vrain Valley students have robust opportunities to get involved in their schools and shape their future through education.

In this month’s The Newsroom, we highlight student and school achievements powered by connectivity, relationships and an unwavering drive for excellence. Thank you for your continued partnership and your tremendous support that makes these and so many other student opportunities possible.

Sincerely,
Don Haddad, Ed.D.
