Main Street School
Main Street School operates as part of the St. Vrain Valley school district. Our mission is to provide comprehensive, culturally sensitive academic and therapeutic services in a safe, structured and nurturing environment to children and adolescents who have significant emotional, behavioral and developmental disabilities.
Main Street School provides services to male and female students, elementary through high school. The program operates on the traditional St. Vrain Valley school district calendar with additional summer school programming in June.
Students receive academic instruction in Math, Language Arts, Science/Social Studies, Art, Music, P.E. and Affective Education. The treatment services provided can include, but are not limited to, individual therapy, group therapy, family coaching and support services, parent support groups, substance abuse education, psychiatric consultation, occupational therapy and speech/language therapy. Through the combination of treatment and academic instruction, our goal is to provide each student with the necessary skills to make healthy, positive life choices within the school setting and the community.
The Main Street School program is based on the development of healthy relationships with the students’ peers and adults. We encourage each youth to feel a sense of belonging and to take pride in what they can contribute to the Main Street School community. The staff at the Main St. School program strives to help students to learn from one another and support each other to be strong, successful members of their families and the community.
